Here's what's wrong: The fact that he’s opening for Spoon… What the hell are they thinking? There are so many great bands in this town and they picked this guy? My girlfriend and I weren’t in the mood to laugh at other peoples expenses tonight. We wanted to enjoy Spoon and someone complimentary not completely frickin OBTUSE!

haha i had no idea what he sounded like until I went to his myspace. There sure is a gap though between sounds haha. My first Spoon show had me watching Sons of Hercules back in 05 when they opened for them, it was bad. My favorite had to have been Brothers and Sisters because I bought their CD right afterwards. I have to agree with you, this was a pretty bad partnership. On the other hand, Pink Nasty, one of the members of Black Nasty, opened for Britt on his solo show one time at the Parish. Maybe that's why...just hold on for 30 minutes or however long they play.

I was thinking of skipping Black Nasty tomorrow night at the Houston show, but I'm curious to see the audience's reaction.

Black Nasty are a lot of fun to watch. It's really inappropriate and I was really worried about them considering their mom was cheering them on along the siding.

They always get relatively shitty bands to open for them. A few years ago when I saw them some band opened that sounded just like Loveways-era Spoon and that was by far the best band I ever saw before a Spoon show.

I also think Black and Pink Nasty are in the Underdog video so they must be friends of the band.

I managed to catch most of his performance last night - it was HILARIOUS! Having his sister play along with a good backup band made for an entertaining set (I was expecting a one man show with Black Nasty standing at the mike, rapping and posing the entire time). Black Nasty was a better opener than I had expected.

At moments I understood the idea, but even still- no. And way to go, Warehouse Live, for making this an all ages show.

Black Nasty is hilarious and I think if you went to the show knowing that was his style then you would have enjoyed it more.

Pink Nasty probably would have been more suiting I think.
