anyone know much about the underdog 7" demo? I think it was a promo only (not offered in retail setting). I found a copy that has a generic sleeve. Did this ever come with artwork or a spoon-specific sleeve?

Nope no special artwork. What you have is all it was. Lucky to even have it though they're rare. Like you said they were only in specialty record shops.

Speaking of 7", I recently got "Anticipation" b side - "Headz"
this is a great song! I had only heard it once on a live EP (Anticipation, I mean, not Headz...I'd never heard that before the record)
You guys probably already know this but Merge is re-releasing Girls Can Tell and A Series of Sneaks on the heavy vinyl (118 grams? I dunno) I'm so getting A Series of Sneaks.Posted 15 years ago # -
If they are re-releasing them, I would assume it would be on the heavy vinyl (isn't it 180 grams?). I bet they'd sound great on a well-mastered vinyl. I still haven't played my 7", as it needs to be cleaned. Excessive static electricity has caused a lot of dust to collect on it.

I picked up the "Anticipation" 7" as well. I'd never heard either of those songs before. Needless to say, they're both stellar.
And, yeah... both the "Girls Can Tell" and "Series of Sneaks" reissues are 180 gram and sound AMAZING. I love listening to "Anything You Want" on my turntable at full volume. So good...
