I wanted to see them too. Got all excited at 10:00, rushed to the Parish website, rushed to the Spoon website, rushed around like a chicken with my head cut off until I found them.

$40 is a whole lot of money in this day and age. I can't imagine spending that much on a couple hours worth of entertainment. That's about half my grocery bill and I can't just give it up because I want to see a show. Have fun and say hi to my 50 year old boss while you're there. I'm too poor for that much fun.

(I just said that about my boss because he saw the Foo Fighters at ACL last week and now he's all into "rock music". He gets tickets to all things C3 but maybe they'll come in the mail and they'll accidently go missing.)

If I had the money for it or even if they were about half that, I'd buy them. Things are just too tough right now. As it is, I'm going to be a royal bitch to live with the week of the 13th.

I do really appreciate that they're playing smaller clubs in Austin. The last time I saw them it was at a big venue and although I could get up close to where I wanted to be, there were way too many people there. I also don't like all ages shows because the boys are trying to get the older people to buy them beer as they're getting handjobs from their girlfriends and you just want to yell at them, "GROW UP!" even though you were a scummy teenager too once and wanted to go to concerts and play adult.

I feel ya, but i'm a big spoonatic! I'm a little iffy on the purpose of the concert because I don't know how benefit concerts work, or if it's any different then a touring concert...hmmm

    ^^

I was thinking about that, too. All I know is that it's the last US GaGaGaGaGa show, and I kinda need to see this! It might be super special!

Tickets are still available on the Parish website now, btw. $35+ fees, I think.

But yeah, will this be a full band show, or like, just a handful of songs? I really hope it's a full show!
