SPOON is unfortunately one of those names that's difficult to use in a search engine. Even if you narrow down an Ebay search to "music" you still get things like "Jan & Spoon" and "10,000 Spoons". (In that case, I know you can search with "negatives", like "SPOON -jam -10,000", but that's a pain in the butt, and you still have to sift through all the dross beforehand to figure out what negatives to add).

Anybody have any good suggestions as to how one can nail a SPOON search down to only get 'hits' that actually relate to the band?

I usually search 'music' for "spoon -jam -quo". If you don't want Girls Can Tell anymore then add a "-can". That way you've cut out all Jam & Spoon, a Status Quo LP and all Can records on the Spoon label (quite a lot). After that you just have to look. I havn't figured a way of getting rid of T-Spoon yet, which is about 50% of remaining hits.

I would just add Britt Daniel's first or last name, or the name of a song or album (or "Merge", the band's label). If you're looking for an interview, just add "interview" (I guess that's natural though), because most of those other Spoons in the drawer are not getting interviewed regularly and will not appear nearly as much.

Also, kudos for the clever thread title.
