Would have to be Revenge! for me. Nice drivin' beat that is most suitable for munchin on down on a big 'ol honkin' cheeseburger. Not the fast food variety, of course...

"Revenge"? What did that poor cow ever do to you?!? And does the modifier "honkin'" indicate that you prefer a touch of paté on your burger?

Anyhow, this is a bit tangential, but the Church of the Subgenius has a slogan: "Don't just EAT a cheeseburger, eat the HELL out of it!". SPOON-wise, the title "Dismember' comes to mind as fitting that notion...

But since SPOON has no actual Subgenius-related songs that I am aware of, I'll instead suggest "Date With BOB" by Hunter Darby*'s band The Wannabes, who are coincidentally also Britt D.'s fave group in the world.

*(HD is also one of the dozens of "wannabes" who have served honorably as temporary SPOON bassists over the years.)

Revenge! would work for angrily eating a cheeseburger, but honestly, if I was just contentedly munching on a Hardee's burger, I think Fitted Shirt or Waiting For The Kid To Come Out would get the job done.

Kind of a silly thread, but I'll run with it... I think Cherry Bomb would be good, since it has a good beat to time your bites to. All the older stuff gets too moody for eating a burger to. You need to feel upbeat when eating a burger!

    Jealousy, of course.

I am shocked that some of you haven't choked by now as fast as you aparently eat. My parents taught me to chew slow, a lesson I learned at age 8 after choking on a dinner roll in a Grandy's in Dallas and getting an adult-force heimlich from my overzealous dad.

The first problem you had was eating at Grandy's... I'll admit, though. I loved Grandy's as a kid. I'm in Dallas. You still in Big D?

I'd have to say Small Stakes. Because then it could be "Small Steaks". Steak, get it? Who said DISMEMEBR? That song is not even 2 minutes long! How could you finish a "honkin'" burger in that time? That'd be very unhealthy! Then you'd throw up. What's the best Spoon song to throw up to? ---probably "The Infinite Pet"

If they make a "got nuffin" video they should center it around eating a cheeseburger. Make it work make it work!

oh and "got nuffin" starts off exactly like "scoff" by Nirvana. Interesting how it took me soooo long to figure out.

Yikes, that is pretty close. However, one important thing is that the melody is not sampled but rather the beat. Hard to stake claim to a beat.

I've noticed that the beginning piano part of Ghost of You Lingers is reminiscent of The Damned's History of the World Part Two and the beginning guitar part of Beast, and Dragon Adored sounds like The Kinks' Sunny Afternoon. It might just be my imagination because I don't have a music
ian's ear.... Anyhow, I love those little homages! They place Spoon's music in a historical context, like those are songs that inspired them to write their own. Of course, this is all conjecture:)

I'm sorry, I just saw this and it totally cracked me up.
Kinda matches with 500 Days of Summer, too - they play "The Infinite Pet" while the lead man is going through the sourness of his post-break-up funk.
