The Austin City Limits festival is doing webcasts of the whole thing. You can check out Spoon tonight (Friday) at 8 pm central. I'm also interested in LCD Soundsystem tomorrow at 8:30 (got tickets to see them in Milwaukee in a couple weeks).

Me too JP!!! I', seeing LCD Soundsystem at the Rave too!!! I got VIP balcony seats though. I'd love to be on the floor, part of the sweaty crazy dance party....but my wife is claustrophobic and is also tiny, so she doesn't really like being on the floor getting hit and bumped.
I do love the balcony there though. I saw Arcitc Monkeys at the rave last year, got balcony for 6 bucks more, and loved it. Great view, and you can really enjoy the music. And the bar up there is nice.

Tyler, I guess I'll see you in the balcony! Never been to the Rave before, and the "VIP" tickets were only like $5 more than the GA tickets. So I got the balcony. I'm assuming that since I have the balcony seats we can also head downstairs, right? Hope to meet up with you. I just got done watching the Spoon ACL show....nice, though my computer had a hard time keeping up with the video stream. Audio was always good though. Wear a rose or something in Milwaukee so I know you!

Yeah the Rave is pretty cool. I've always liked it. The crowd makes the show, so hopefully it'll be a lot of fun. Yes if you have balcony, you can go back and forth if you want. You have to because bathrooms are downstairs. I believe the bar up in the balcony is like 1 dollar cheaper drinks too. Which is pretty cool. They have 6 dollar beers there....yeah I know. That sucks.
But yes we will figure something out so we recognize each other! How far you traveling for the show? I live about a hr 1/2 away. In Oshkosh.
A friend of mine lives in Madison. We've been talking about seeing LCD since I saw them in Kansas City (where I live) a few years ago and was just astounded at how good they were. He found out about the Rave show and we put it together. So this show is also costing me a plane ticket (thank goodness for Southwest Wanna Get Away fares) and half a hotel room. Still, I'm really looking forward to it. Just look for the two oldest guys in the balcony. See you there!
Very cool! This will be my first time seeing them, and I am extremely excited! I will let you know what I'm wearing. Maybe a "I am Tyler Darling" t-shirt.

Monk: I really cannot find my Spoon shirt at the moment. I only have 1 (the turntable design). I recently cleaned out my closet, boxed things up and organized things (but among the organizing lost some things too) haha.
JP: Ok well I will see you tonight probably. I'll look for 2 old guys hahaha! I will be be wearing glasses, converse, and jeans and will be drinking responsibly. That's all I know at this point haha.

LOL! I've always wanted to know who started that rule/code... I do follow it, but I think it's funny how it's just kinda ingrained in my head.

Wow it was impossible to even know if I saw you! The place was packed. And we ordered tickets on-line so we had a huge group "lined up" more like crammed in a huge pile, to get them. We got into the balcony at 8:45 we only got to see the 2 last songs from Hot Chip. But LCD was amazing!!! It literally blew my mind! We were stage left angled at about 45 degrees on the balcony.
I was just to the right of center. I walked around the balcony a few times, parading myself. A lot of people up there. But you didn't give much to go on to locate you (glasses, jeans and converse -- I guess maybe the "drinking responsibly" clue was the most likely to ID you!). Anyway, no big deal...the show was excellent, as expected. I like the Rave a lot. The balcony was nothing like what I expected.
