It's ok. Thank you so much!!! I really like "Me and the Bean" and "I am the Key" both sound very good live. Thank you again Pherron. I wish I could pay you back, but I can't unless they have an American exclusive release or something like that...which is doubtful.

Does anyone have Drake Tungsten's "Clocking Out is for Suckers" in its entirety that they would be willing to share?
@Devilsdishes Just saw this post!
Awesome, thanks Tyler!
Wow, thanks a bunch Tyler!
You're welcome, but you can thank Pherron too. I am only as good as him. As he has helped me out tracking down Spoon songs over the years. Easily 20% of my Spoon library is from him. He is a great guy to know.
Let's get this thread revived! Especially with the new album in just 7 days!
I know there are some tracks that were played live that weren't included. Satellite comes to mind. I really miss when they would upload a song or so per month on the website. I love the demos. Everything that comes out of these guys is pure gold.
Not original, but when I saw them in MKE a few years back, they played Jay Reatards's No Time. It's on YouTube, but no SBD that I know of exists. Between the material that came out from the website, the bonus disc from the Gimme Fiction reissue, and some one off singles and B-sides (TV Set, My First Time Vol. 3), there should be enough material for another Devil's Dishes/You Could Say So Motherfucker comp.
anybody have a link to the McEntire remix of Ghost?
I have the Score! album, but the Covers one. iTunes music has the Originals. Can't find the Remixes.
Good call on Satellite! How did that track not make the cut for the new record, especially when they played it on the road for like 6 months? I think I remember Britt saying that the new record is all brand new writing, as opposed to developing any old material that didn't make previous albums. I wonder if Satellite was an older tune.
Also, agreed, they need to do another compilation of b-sides. You KNOW they've got more than the 10 tracks on the new album recorded (although maybe not fully produced). The demo album and the b-side albums were gold, and I missed that on TWMS. I'd love to see them drop a couple of EPs, even just digitally! Also, I know this is off topic, but I'd love to see Jim and Britt produce another Spoon record on their own. The demo stuff they've released has been lo-fi gold, which just has this raw quality I love.
Anyhow, I digress. Most of what I have is from iTunes, but thankfully they release a fuck ton of stuff on there. I think I even found a Drake Tungsten EP on there, which is cool. I'd love to hear any Alien Beats stuff anyone might have. I think I was a little late to the game to procure that stuff.
I actually think I do have alien beats stuff. I will have to check the old Macbook again. I know a few years iTunes had the Drake Tungsten EP, but didn't think they had the whole album.
The rarest stuff I own is Telephono on vinyl, and the Not Turning Off 7". I pretty much have everything in mp3 so if anyone wants anything let me know. Again lots of credit goes to Pherron.
I have been listening to the 30 gallon Tank EP a lot lately. It's not super rare, you can get on iTunes, and you used to be able order the 7" very reasonable from Peek a Boo records
. Great B sides. My favorite "I Could be Underground" was a Drake Tungsten recording. Lyrics tweaked a bit, and full band. Love the instrumental outro. Everyone should check out if you haven't yet.
Like Tyler, I have loads of Spoon rarities that I downloaded years ago from either spoontheband.com or media share sites on my old Macbook. It's a bit annoying that I was able to transfer those mp3s to my new laptop but iTunes recognizes "Don't Let it Get You Down (alternate mix)" from the Survive and Advance comp as the KTML album version. Anyone know how to fix this?
Some of my favorite rarities:
Don't Let it Get You Down (alt. version)
Jonathan Fisk acoustic demo and Rainy Taxi (the instrumental track) from the Devil's Dishes comp
I am The Key (The La's cover) and Anticipation (recorded for radio show) from TWWGB EP
Tear Me Down
Something to Look Forward To - early rehearsal
I Could Be Underground is one of my fav all time songs from Spoon. I only have the ASOS/30
Gallon tank versions I think. But I must've heard the other because I know the line "got messed up on drugs"
I'm 90% sure the version you're thinking of is from the Drake Tungsten stuff. Also, agreed, thats is a killer tune.
If anyone wants to post their rarities, I'd be more than happy to peruse them. I'm sure you guys've got stuff that I don't.
