OOOOH - does it have to do with words that aren't real words being in the title? (Evah, Laffitte, Detektor, Nuffin, Rythm)

I would say misspelled, but Laffitte isn't misspelled, just not really a word

Yes! Intentional misspellings (or puns, with Laffitte) in the title. Sorry for throwing it off with Laffitte!

Just to winnow it down, I'll go with the letter gambit again, 'y' is in all of them

    now for the reasonable guesses

Maybe a better one, the title is repeated a crap ton in all of them

I was thinking along those same lines....I was going to say the Song title is the opening lyrics, which applies to all but Mystery Zone. So I was thinkning...something with song titles.

It's not about the title, but it is about how the song opens...

My best guess so far is that all the songs are first person. I'll, I'm, I've, my, me. Got any hints for me?

I'm sensing a theme about specific moments/locations in terms of one's music/life/career but I feel like that's too vague. (Respectively: playing at the Electric Lounge, waiting on a light at the corner of Sound Exchange, working part time at the Tasty Prawn, waking up and thinking of new chords)

True. Technically Change My Life's volume does not fade out. However, the drums are last instrument. Solid guess.
