I can't wait. I have been listening to the albums, trying to guess what they will be playing...obviously lots from Transference but I am also hoping for metal detektor, me & the bean, (it's a long shot) anticipation...

My brother told me that they Tweeted that they played Soft Effects for their encore in LA, so I am hoping for the same tomorrow!

I'll do my best to remember the set list and tell you all how it was.

I'm also curious to see what merch they will have

I am very jealous!!!! (Though it will never do a thing for me!!!) Please let me know about merch too!!!

Buy anything cool, or any vinyl (I have all but the first 2 albums) they have and I will pay you for it!!! HAHAHA
Especially if they have Soft Effects or Telephono on vinyl (yeah right).

The only vinyls they've been selling are the LPs and the Written in Reverse single.

There's four t-shirts they're selling. One is black, with amps on and it says Spoon (I bought that one so I'll take a picture of it and post it here later, there's a gray shirt that's got a squid and *I think* a whale shaking hands, and then two shirts that already in the Spoon merch store online- the yellow beard shirt and the blue couple shirt.

Well i knew they were not selling any older vinyl. I am still looking to collect that. Good to know though! Thank you! I already have the Spoon turntable shirt, so I don't really need another. But thanks again for the tour merch update!

I love the new Gentleman Whale meets Gentleman Squid shirt. I'm hoping they'll make that one available on this here site since the chance of a 2010 Houston show is quickly diminishing (not complaining, though - I'm happy that El Paso FINALLY gets their Spoon show!). Should you feel inclined, pick up one of those in a small and I will throw money at you for your troubles :)

    the show was amazing.
none of the songs I wanted to hear were played, (the three from my original post, anyway) Everything Hits at Once was the oldest song they played.
Ghost of You Lingers was probably the most amazing thing ever.
I have a ton of pics that I'll upload later.
Merch was kinda disappointing, as there were no stickers (I really want one for my car.) The squid and whale shirt was pale yellow for us.
I think Hotpockets gave me their setlist from the board!
    what a night.

Awesome!! Looks like a cool set. I cannot wait to see them again. I always love that some set lists have diagrams. Like one had a pedal configuration, and it always has other songs upside down on it. I really want to hear "Trouble Comes Running" live!!! I also really want to hear "Out go the Lights"live.

    Lucky!!!!

Isn't it odd that they don't play Out Go The Lights? I know they won't play a song live if they think they can't do the song justice but it seems to me that Mystery Zone, Nobody Gets Me... and Trouble... would be harder to reproduce than OGTL. Even if they had to strip down some effects, I think it would still be a great song live.

Out Go the Lights has like no effects!!!!! Guitars, Drums and bass.....a TINY bit of sound effects, but it's not like a key part of the song. It could definitely be left out. Eric could switch between guitar and the keys and pads for sound effects. It's one of the best songs on Transference.....I love a good slow Spoon song. And that is the one. Man it's so good. Oh ok now I'm just going on about the song. But really.

They should play it live. Every band needs to play a couple slower ones.

I put Trouble on youtube when they played at the Scoot Inn last year, they did it justice

I think Spoon have a lot of other greater slower songs like "I could see the dude" or um "metal deteckor" um "anything you want"

Nevermind I was listening to "out go the lights" in my head and it's pretty amazing

Yes I love live versions of it. I love the lo fi sounds of "Trouble" on the record, but live version is very powerful. It's very good.

Yes I agree with you, Metal Detektor is pretty great. And "Anything You Want" is very very good. But I just love "Out Go the Lights". The song isn't rushed. It's a slow song that just flows. It just works. The beat and everything. It's also the perfect song before "Got Nuffin" kicks in.

    I just love Transference!!!

Awww I'm jealous of that set list! I was hoping for Mystery Zone or Is Love Forever for any of the shows I went to last week but they played the same ones from Transference both nights. Someone yelled for that at one of the shows and Britt said they were still practicing that one. It was listed on the set list I got from San Diego, but they didn't play it.

I feel kinda lucky that I saw Britt perform that song solo last year, I wish I had recorded it.

When I saw them last summer they played "Written in Reverse", "Got Nuffin", and "Is Love Forever?". Britt, Eric, and Rob all played guitar. It sounded very cool actually.

That was about 6 months before the album. I saw them the the night before the "Got Nuffin" single came out (Monday June 29th 2009). So the way they play it live now could sound different. But I thought it was pretty cool they played 3 guitars.

That sounds great! thanks for the link monkfishblues. I really wish Britt would get on the whole solo album project, I love spoon but i think a solo thing would have a different sound to it, that'd be cool.

ME TOO! I think it would be cool to bring back Drake Tungsten! Well not exactly, but the solo project idea.
