Is anyone else going to this tonight? They sent out some invites through Myspace, but it's a first come first serve kinda deal. The venue is super tiny, so if I get in this will certainly be awesome show!

@ Tyler - I DID get in, and it was hands-down the best Spoon show I've been to in 12 years of going to Spoon shows, and an all-around incredible experience. My friend and I were right against the stage in front of Britt, and it felt like our own private show. The rest of the room/world kind of melted away. I was mesmerized. During "Don't Make Me a Target", Britt stopped singing after "clubs and sticks and bats and balls" and gestured to me to finish it for him with "nuclear dicks with their dialect drawls", which I found infinitely amusing. Haha.
There are a couple of blog posts that go into the awesome Sleep No More theme and general vibe of the evening pretty well:

Whoah, I just read the Stereogum article (which made me chuckle a little) and it sounded incredible. I thought that sort of stuff only happened in, like, theme parks or something.
Must've been an amazing experience.Posted 9 years ago # -
@devilsdishes Sounds great. Happy for you. That's how I was at the divine fits show. A smaller venue and so close. Don't worry about your video. Cool you got some footage. As a guitar player very happy you got a good shot of the pedal board
I also read those articles about the gig. Sounded really cool. A special one to be there for.

I was lucky enough to get in as well! Holy crap, that was awesome. I loved the suspenseful vibe from the get go, the 60s tunes jamming while we waited, everyone kind of unsure about what was gonna go down. We couldn't have been more packed in there, but damn, what a great show. Spoon never disappoint, and this show really brought the theme of the album to life. Way too much to explain. Fucking killer.
