Yeah it was old, but good. The interviwer actually sounded like a genuine Spoon fan. Britt calssy as always. Interesting he used to listen to Revolver everynight. I used to listen to sgt peppers every night some years back. With a sony walkman, and CD, no ipod haha.

Yeah, that interviewer was pretty clearly an actual fan ("that song probably kills live").
I don't think Britt was feeling the Sister Jack/Admiral Hasley comparison though.Tyler, I used to listen with a Walkman too. It got kind of annoying with the CD skipping every time I turned it sideways. I don't really have an iPod or anything like that now; I pretty much only listen to music in the car or in my room.

Haha yeah, but you had ESP (Electronic Skip Protection) that lasted for 50 seconds, but man was that a good 50 seconds! You must have rolled around in bed a lot.
My wife actually just bought me my first ipod. A 160 GB classic. Perfect for me, because all I wanted was music. Didn't want apps or anthing like that. She probably was fed up with me stealing her ipod touch all the time. I also bought a shuffle, which was on sale for like 22.00. i use it for working out, very convenient. Of course if I have the choice I'll be listening to vinyl in my house. But if I'm in the car or working out (which is a lot of my day) I'm using an ipod.
Music sure has changed since I was a kid....

I almost never listened to it in bed... I tried once but was too thrilled by the music to get to sleep.
I kinda wish I had a normal iPod sometimes. I just have a Shuffle that my dad got from some auction site (I didn't actually want it, but he didn't ask). I thought I might use it for working out, but it's seen more action as a good-times soundtrack for playing cards and such. Those are two very different playlists, by the way (working out vs. good times).
...Just checked the good times playlist ("Social Shuffle") and sure enough, Spoon has the most songs (15). Second place: Vampire Weekend (13) or Beck (13; whole Odelay album minus one track).

While we're on the topic of older interviews, I stumbled across this one last night. It's a long one and a bit wordy, but overall an insightful interview from around the time of Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga. One part gave me a pretty good chuckle (:

Great great intervie and info. I WANT TO HEAR the unreleased track called “Dear Mr. Landlord”!!!!!

But Britt Daniel doesn't want you to (yet, or possibly ever - depends).
Definitely enjoyed the interview. Love articles that paint a picture of everyday life - they get me shamelessly pumped for the idea of living as a professional musician. Even the menial stuff.
