Just curious on people's experiences with meeting the band.

ahh -- Britt was great. I only met him because after the show, I went to the bathroom and on my way out, he was taking pictures with fans, so I wormed my way though (which wasn't a really big crowd). I'm assuming the rest of the band was on the bus -- because Britt was the only one outside.

I met them after summerfest last summer in Milwaukee. Everybody was really nice, and signed autographs. Britt and Jim were really cool. This was the week before the new album came out, and we were talking to him about it. He told us we could just download it online for free. I did, I would have felt guilty had I not already pre-ordered the cd. Jim tracked down a sharpie so we could get autographs, because I forgot. Everybody was really cool.

Met em at Bonnaroo, but it was just a short, go-through-the-line, get-a-picture-if-you-can-be-quick-about-it affair. Still, I got a picture with Britt and my Gimme Fiction tote bag and Kill the Moonlight CD signed. I still have a Newbury Comics sticker on the dash of my car upon which Rob wrote, "Bonnaroo hot az ball" (sic).

I said "Hi" very briefly to Britt in Houston after a show, which doesn't really count, and then at Treasure Island last year, we saw him to the left of the stage talking to fans, which was awesome (he was the only musician to do that, which shows you how awesome he is...) but I was too close to the stage, so I missed out on my own hand-shaking experience. So I guess I have nothing really to add... 8O

I met them at Jim's studio for a photo shoot a few years back. VERY nice guys. Then, coming home from ACL Fest last year, we saw Britt in line at Southwest Airlines. He was busy then, so we just waved and my wife said, "favorite band ever!" He nodded and went back to his business stuff.

Haha. They're still flying Southwest eh? Funny when a band of their caliber is putting up with cattle-call seating.

southwest is cheap and quick. two things you need when running a business, and spoon is a business, too. I thought it was very smart.

I saw Rob after a show in Hollywood and said something like "you rock." Kind of an understatement, really...
