I thought that was a weird interview. Marc Maron seemed tired or not interested for some reason. I guess he's not a fan. Maron often claims not to be a "word" person in music he likes, but I think he actually is... seems way more interested in Conor Oberst and Dylan. Or he feels jealous of Brit or something?

Was there weird tension with the Eleanor thing? Did Marc date her as well or something?

Spoon often seems to have tense interviews and i could never figure out why. Brit seems like such a gentleman for the most time. I think its when the interviewers dont like the music or arent exactly prepared for the interview that things tend to go south?

This GQ interview is wayyy better and just a very interesting and somewhat insightful interview.

The Eleanor discussion did seem like a strange point of contention. This interview focused more on Britt, less on the band for sure.

Yeah I listened to it too. I'm a big Maron podcast fan. I thought it was definitely focused more on Britt. Not necessarily a bad thing though is it? I mean it wasn't really to promote the album that came out last year in August? I enjoyed it. I downloaded the episode and just skipped to the Britt part. Have you heard the Nerdist episode with Britt and Alex? Also like that Podcast

Yes, Tyler! I love the Nerdist podcast. Definitely a good one. I don't know. I liked the Maron interview. I thought he seemed genuinely interested. Britt was as polite and honest as ever. Truthfully it just sounded like Maron took one too many bong hits. That's all. No big deal.

I've got to agree with Sarita, I really enjoyed the Maron interview, especially the high school stories. It was more focused on Britt, but I'm sure we all enjoyed hearing about his personal experiences. The format was probably a welcome change to Britt, who is always answering the same questions over and over, and as a listener, I enjoyed the shake up in the line of questioning. I don't think anything was too awkward, as I'm pretty sure Britt wouldn't have been as forthcoming as he was if it hadn't been a pleasant experience.

I've not heard the nerdiest podcast. Guess I'll take a look for it.
