I received my copy of Our Noise, the book chronicling the birth and growth of Merge Records, yesterday. Of course, the chapter on Spoon was one of the ones I skimmed first and I was more than a little surprised to see Ron Laffitte's commentary included. Has he ever been interviewed or quoted about the Spoon debacle? It was interesting to hear what he had to say - not to say I support or sympathize with him at all, I DON'T - but it was really strange to read direct comments from him instead of just comments (or lyrics) about him.
Has anyone else bought the book?
