On youtube there was a video called "a kitten and his box" that showed a kitten playing in a box to the tune of Sister Jack. Apparently spoon had a hissy fit over this and made them change the music to some lame classical piece which completely destroyed the video.
Pretty weak, Spoon - especially since you yourselves have the full song and not just a 60-something clip on Youtube.
Are you sure it was Spoon and not Merge Records that did this? I really couldn't imagine Spoon caring about that sort of thing. And it's clear that Merge does, given their comprehensive campaign of getting online streams of "Mystery Zone" removed.
This happens to tons of videos. It's never the bands that do it, it's usually just the Youtube people or the record company.
True youtube is very strict now on copyrighted songs, shows, or movies. Anything like that is done by the youtube administrators. The band itself did not get the song removed.
