I read a couple articles on this. Do you guys think the band knows or gave their consent? I can't see them being big Kelly Clarkson fans.

Uncanny. The resemblance disappears completely in the chorus, though. And it's not the same notes, just an almost identical groove/drumbeat (if not identical).
