how is that noise made in is love forever? it sounds like a train, i think it's either every 4 beats (fast count)/2 beats (slow count) (i'm not very rhythmically inclined). i feel ive seen in a live video jim playing a loose hi-hat or is it rather studio created? thanks dudes.

It sounds like some sort of tape manipulation to me, specifically, a tape being stopped. Analog gets that sorta farty sound like that as they slow to a stop.
My first listen through the album (on headphones) this jumped out at me as sort of jarring, especially since I had heard a live version of it that I loved so much. Weeks later and I don't even notice it.
Has anyone noticed Britt's humming on some songs as sounding vaguely Kermit-esque? Especially on "Goodnight Laura". Not meant as a diss, Kermitt's one'a my favorite singers.
