So wow. I really never thought I would see a Greatest Hits album from Spoon. I am happy don't get me wrong. I always wanted one, along with a live album, and I just assumed that would come maybe after the band ends. For a second I thought it was a goodbye from the band. But no, there is work yet to be done. I guess I am that good kind of shocked that John Cougar Mellencamp pined about in "Hurts so Good". Like how can pain feel good John? He elaborated, and then we all understood.
As time keeps rolling on everything I hold dear wears, tarnishes, and moth consumes it. This band has been making great record after great record. So this a like a breath to celebrate that. If we don't take in moments in our lives they are gone forever people. So enjoy a new Spoon single, and all of us can argue about what songs should have been there, sequencing etc. That's what we do.
But seriously grateful for years of music, memories and SOUL.
P.S. Glad Senor Larios is no officially on a recording!!!
P.S.S. Britt can still shred!!!! \m/
P.S.S.S. Dude seriously how is "Written in Reverse" not on here? I'll play the game where we have to do singles, heck even commercially released singles that are post "Everything Hits at Once". It is one of the greatest vocals in the band's history. Period. And do you remember how pumped we all were when we heard the teaser, our first glimpse into what would be Transference?!?!?! That alone!!!!!!!! ;P
