    Guys n Gals,

Ok so I just realized something here....

I love Gimme Fiction. I own it on CD and vinyl. I was never really into "remasters" of 10 year old albums. They need remastering?!? Anyway the 10 year anniversary edition vinyl not only has the bonus content, which I would like, but also has 9 additional digital only tracks called "Odds and Ends"". I totally forgot about this. I was thinking of just buying it on itunes so I could have it, but those 9 tracks are not there, only that second "Home Demos" disc.

The track list is on Wikipedia, and as a completist really makes me want them. I just hate re buying things over and over :( Not that I don't love supporting the band, I own most of their albums on CD and Vinyl, or vinyl and itunes. It's just I already have it twice! - Don't even get me started on a Gax5 10 year REMASTER....what a beautiful sounding album.... That album I own on vinyl, CD and itunes, because I wanted the get nice CD, and the itunes bonus track.........

So, has anyone heard these 9 additional tracks on Gimme Fiction?

Are you talking about the bonus demos that are on the second record? Or the bonus CD that came with Gimme Fiction back in the day that had like... Carryout Kids etc? The bonus demos are on Spotify if you have that.

Also. Seriously what is up with the remasters? I got the record mostly for the demos and to finally have it on LP..... I do not like the remaster. It was mastered waayyyyyy too loud and aggressive, takes a lot of the musicality of it away. The remaster of Moon and Antarctica is similarly bad...

I see now they are doing the same thing to gagagagaga. Guess I better get the old LPs before they mess with all of them.

So I did finally get the remaster of this on iTunes because I wanted the bonus tracks. The Vinyl LP would be cool simply for the book, but honestly I have the original LP so was not a necessity.

I was referring to the demos by the way @iamthekey not the 4 track bonus disc.

But after listening to the remasters, they just seem a tad louder, that's all I notice. The unfortunate thing about that is MORE TAPE HISS. I love the fact they record on tape with analog gear like many other great bands of the past. I don't mind tape hiss to an extent, but with the remasters I notice it a lot more. "Beast and Dragon", and "Camera On" have the most noticeable tape hiss so far.

I love the album though, it's so so good.
