    i think artistes regularly frown on their own early work. maybe britt was being humble. he could hardly say we dont make bad records. thats what you expect from noel gallagher. hell, if i was britt i woulda said high praise. and true. telephono was a perfect starting point and it certainly worked on me.

    "Girls Can Tell" It's a timeless record. It's like nothing Spoon has done before it, or will do after it.

    Transference haha...We've already heard most of it and I like it a lot more than GAx5, but yeah I'm pretty sure everyone thinks "Girls Can Tell" is the favorite. What's not to hate about that album, all my favorite songs come from it.

    Transference is gonna topple it though. I love "Who Makes Your Money" and "Mystery Zone" and "I Saw the Light". I'm excited

    Gimme Fiction is my favorite. Kill The Moonlight is a very close 2nd but I have a significant attachment to Gimme Fiction.

    So i had a change of heart. I'm listening to Gimme Fiction on vinyl and it's freakin' amazing! I love "Girls Can Tell" because it has a lot of my favorites, but Gimme Fiction to me takes the best parts of Girls Can Tell and Britt's vocals are top notch changing it up on almost every song. It's an amazing album that should be listened to in it's entirety.

    I too have an attachment to Gimme Fiction because it was the year I got introduced to the music, mainly thanks to "I turn my Camera on", but it's by far my favorite song now.

    Ed, I have the same torn feeling. Gimme fiction was my introduction to spoon. I love all the songs! Girls can tell was the last album I bought. But for me as a whole album it just works so great. So seamless. I just don't think Gimme Fiction's second side flows well. There are some songs I'm not fond of, or just don't fit for me. I dunno maybe that's just me? Gimme Fiction has better songs, but for me Girls Can Tell's cohesiveness makes it great for me. And my favorite....for now
