Yes I agree. The "30 Gallon Tank" EP is probably my favorite. It's such a good little 7". I loved that Rock, yet still experimental phase.

Ah, good question. Yes, definitely "I Could Be Underground" and "Well-Alright" and "Monkey Feelings". And I really like "Let the Distance Bring Us Together", "Stroke Their Brains", and "It Took a Rumor to Make Me Wonder...". And yeah, all the songs on Soft Effects and Love Ways absolutely rock.

Oh man I totally forgot Soft Effects.

I Can See the Dude is up there, then.

I also like Figures of Art off of Love Ways--it's very Stones-esque.

Anticipation is probably my most favorite non-album song. It's a close call...

You can work out where they are from here: Spoon Discography I think that covers every song.

Carryout Kids - I feel like this was a demo Britt considered turning into a full-fledged song. I wish he had.

I Could Be Underground - The ending is beautiful. The song unfurls enthusiastically only to feel like it's receding into the underground after all, away from you forever.

Mountain To Sound - Love the heaviness. Love the off-kilter fade-out.

Waiting For The Kid To Come Out - Great cross of raw and catchy; Pitchfork Media perfectly described this song as laid-back verses "erupting into crunchy choruses."
