So far, this is my favorite song from They Want My Soul. Although, 'Rainy Taxi' is a close second (the bridge is so good, can't wait to hear the studio version).

'Do You' is such a great power-pop song and the lyrics hit the hardest for me. I'm not sure if it's an apt comparison but it reminds me of Harry Nilsson for some reason.

This album promises to be very diverse. It sounds different than any Spoon record that has come before. I'm excited to hear it in its entirety.

@Vittorio I agree with you. The song is an instant classic Spoon song. It's not a grower. It sounds like you want Spoon to sound. Like the bass groove a lot. The stright forward drum beat is reminiscent of "The Book I Write" and it is exactly what the song needs. Great vocals and lyrics. Also love the "Do Do, Do Dos" intro and through the song. Sounds like an old 60s vocal group bit.

Man, I can't stop listening to it. It seems like something that would totally fit on Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga. It's so dreamy, a little Finer Feelingsish.

Its a sick song. Yeah, echoes of "Book I Write". Thin Lizzy style vocals.

Do you guys think the "doos" are run through a synth and modulated like with a computer or sung normally? I can't make up my mind. Its a cool effect if so.

@soy_sarita Agreed. I have been listening to it a lot.

@iamthekey It's definitely seems like some modulation. But I wouldn't say synth mod. When I think synth modulation I think like Daft Punk. It was probably something like a Leslie speaker, or something like it. It seems like a very subtle effect compared to computerized or digital effect. Just my thought.

Oh word. I thought maybe it was pitch shifted up and down.
