Watching all those 7"s too with interest, just too see how much they go for. I've noticed recently that Not Turning Off & All The Negatives have started fetching high prices. They were cheap for years - a shame for people that don't have them but a good sign of increasing popularity for Spoon.
By the way this is a good site for collectors Discogs (not just biased because I have contributed to it!). It's a wiki kind of site so anyone can add or edit to get it more accurate.

"Oh man how'd you find those? I've put a bid on almost all of 'em, but I'm sure I'm gonna get outbid... The picture on that Golden Millennium one is priceless. Haha!"

Do you mean the pics of Britt all tarted up? ;)

My vinyl is all boxed up. I know that I have the Drake Tungsten 7", Not Turning Off 7", Anticipation on black vinyl, an early number of Soft Effects that was purchased from Britt at a show in '97 or '98, Series of Sneaks and I am not sure what else.

I haven't checked gemm.com for Spoon, but I have found some out of print stuff by other bands. Happy hunting.

Did anyone see what the Nefarious went for? It was already above what I was willing to shell out, but I was just wondering for future reference what it was worth these days.

It went for $50 - not too crazy.

Wow I think the last one I saw on Ebay went for over 100. Quite the discount for whoever nabbed this one.

So I lost on getting that Drake Tungsten one. I shake my fist at any of you here that went over my max bid in the last 20 seconds!

But...I won the Golden Millennium vinyl! Woohoo!

Can't believe Drake Tungsten went for so much. I hardly paid anything for it just a few years ago. Well done on the Golden Millenium starbright, but it's only Britt on bass!

You know, until I looked at that eBay listing I had no idea that the Nefarious EP was on clear vinyl even though I own it. (In my defense, my record player is in a dark room and I don't have a habit of holding my vinyls up to the light.)

I collect Spoon vinyl, too. Maybe this weekend I'll take pictures of my collection and post what I have so far. I think I've been lucky on my finds: The most I've paid (so far!*) for anything in my Spoon collection was a little over $30 for the clear red vinyl of A Series of Sneaks.

*I'm willing to pay more than that for a few I don't have...

I apologize in advance for the crappy quality of these photographs. I didn't feel like pulling out my SLR today, and there's not good natural light in here today.

Okay, here is my Spoon vinyl collection thus far...

My three Spoon LPs: A Series of Sneaks on red vinyl (Vapor label), Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga signed by the band (Britt wrote "Heather, you rule"), and Transference (nothing special about that):
    Spoon LPs

Most all of my Spoon 7"s (including the Drake Tungsten one):
    Spoon 7ins

The rest of my Spoon 7"s-- four different editions of the "Anticipation" 7":
    Anticipation
Black vinyl from 1998 (limited to 660 copies)
Red vinyl from 2005 (limited to 770 copies)
White vinyl with screened jacket (limited to 24 copies?)
White vinyl from 2007 (limited to 880 copies)

And the Golden Millennium 7" belongs in this post, since feature Britt on bass:
    Golden Millennium

um, I had no idea Spoon had reissued Kill the Moonlight. Did it really need to be reissued? I always stopped by my local record store and they always had a copy.

I don't think Kill The Moonlight has been reissued. I don't think it ever went out of print.

No I don't think it did get re-issued. I know Kill the Moonlight is kind of rare. I bought mine for $12 , but it's the only Spoon LP I have that is not on heavyweight 180gm vinyl. It's very light weight. I also know you can't order it on Merge's website or Spoon's.

Took a huge step forward today in finally finding a Nefarious. Only 31 dollars too. I feel like I got it for a great price considering I've seen it hover around 100 the last two times on ebay. Does anyone know how many of these are out there? Even an estimate would be interesting.

So it turns out "Kill the Moonlight" just got re-issued! I got the old version. The new re-issue is on 180gm vinyl. Just released in 2010

No, I don't think they were vinyl. I don't think those ones were ever released on vinyl...were they? Great price for them though, I payed way more for them on amazon and ebay.

'Anything You Want' was released as a vinyl 7" here in the UK. 'Everything Hits At Once' was only a CD single.

Yep, Anything You Want on vinyl is pretty elusive here in the states. I'll just keep waiting it out just like the rest of them. And sorry for outbidding you on the nefarious! I've been on the prowl for one for the last 3 years, but didnt want to pay the outrageous prices it had been going for.

No need to be sorry, it sounds like you've been looking for a lot longer than i have. I have a feeling that with Spoon's ever increasing popularity it's going to be easier and easier to find their merch on places like ebay, i'll get a copy eventually. Good to know about the Anything you want vinyl, that would be such a cool find! But i really want Anticipation on black vinyl.

It's awesome to hear that I'm not the only Spoon freak out there collecting their vinyls! Sadly, I only have Girls Can Tell and Kill The Moonlight on vinyl, but looking to get all the rest of their albums on record! I think next I'm going to get Gimme Fiction or A Series of Sneaks! This record store called Grimey's in Nashville has pretty much all their albums on vinyl, so I know exactly where to look! That's really cool you guys have some rare ass Spoonssss! Keep those in good condition!
