Britt recently had this interview while in quarantine and gave some updates on the album. He mentions the album was near finished but now he has some other songs. Knowing Spoon, they typically release 10 songs per album. Not 1 song more or less. Given the circumstances I think it's possible to see an album with up to 12 or 13 songs based on the interview. Britt also doesn't seem afraid to cut songs though since he seems to favor being concise. The other thing I was thinking is they could do what a lot of other bands do and release an EP with a new single and a B side or two. But I don't think they have done an EP since the Transference days. What do you all think? Also I know it's an unpredictable time so who knows how much they can actually work on it. Think it'll see the light of day by the end of 2020? Here's the link below:

Rank - There was a recent AMA on reddit where Britt was asked if there were any songs cut from They Want My Soul. This was Britt's response:
"There's a song called Satellite that we recorded with Dave Fridmann for TWMS but we didn't think it was all the way there. not dave's fault, the song just wans't fully cooked yet. Then we recorded it again the next summer with John COngleton. slightly better but still not right. Again not the producer's fault. since then we've played it live a lot and I think we may have gotten it right for this next record."

I think it's going to be awhile based on the AMA and them not able to get in the studio. Unless they do a random single or an EP.
