I am still debating whether to buy it or not. It's not a lot of money or anything, but I just already have all the songs. I don't really see the point I guess......

Got the Bonus TRX CD and the candle (...so I can pray that Spoon will not shun Houston on the next album's tour!). May get more of the older items later - I need replacement Gimme Fiction and GAGAGAGAGA CDs.

It said it came with liner notes by Britt Daniel, which definitely made me more interested in buying it. (So I did) Tyler, do the liner notes make you any more interested?

Also, effing love the cover art. So badass.

Yes the liner notes make it very cool. If Britt talks about all the songs how, where they were recorded etc. What would make me drool for it is if it were on vinyl!!!!! I dunno, I will prob buy it. It's my favorite band. Of course. I just wish there was more content, then 10 songs. It's only 27 minutes of music. I like all the songs, but I think it would have been cool to have more songs. I have 30 bonus songs. Minus the live tracks you could have 75 minutes, 25 songs. That would be cool. Just release demos.

I honestly thought Spoon would release a live album before their demos/bonus songs. Hmmm. Maybe I'm just being a dick?? I love Spoon and all their music is great. I'll just shut up and buy it.

YES the cover art s very very cool. I love it too.

I'll take a demo cd over a greatest hits album any day - much more interesting! Best lyrical difference: "I'm gonna TRY!!! Chicken fried snake!!!" - My Mathematical Mind demo (that is what he said, right? I was listening in the car so maybe I heard wrong).

I'm getting it, along with GaGaGa (ga goes to dad for christmas, hoping to get him into the band). No better way to show that you are an obsessed fan right? Also might get a T-Shirt... most of them seem more flashy then I usually wear.

Kinda disappointed over here. Barely any liner notes, and only a few of the demos seemed interesting (You Got Yr. Cherry Bomb) or just good to listen to (In the Right Place the Right Time). I wish he had picked more demos like the Cherry Bomb one that showed different approaches to the songs. The Transference demos have been great about that.

Plus the typo on the CD kinda pisses me off ("Youu Gotta Feel It")... I always wonder how that kind of thing can make it to a final product.

Demo liner notes for a demo album :)

I wasn't expecting to be blown away by this CD, they probably rushed to slap it together to make Christmas sales. Depending on fans' interest, I'm guessing they'll decide whether or not it's worthwhile to put out an album of demos. If there's a sizable audience, maybe they'll place more time and care into creating the next one.

I'll tell you what kinda ticked me off though: remember when iTunes offered Transference for sale with a "Making Of" video that turned out to be maybe a minute's worth of behind the scenes clips? "Making Of" implies there's people talking about the process and more in depth video coverage of what's happening in the studio. Kicked myself for buying that. The pitfalls of fandom. Oh well. The candle works great!
