Bonus songs you'd want to hear

We've gotten some pretty great bonus tracks on the website recently - the demos aren't great for listening, but they reveal a lot about the creation process. Both the Goodnight Laura and NGMBY demos are radically different from the versions on the album, and that kind of stuff is really interesting to me.

Anyway, my question is this: What other demos or potential bonus tracks would you guys be interested in hearing?

I'd be keen on a demo of "Is Love Forever?" I always wonder how he stumbled onto the weird arrangements in that song. But that's just me.

It would be interesting to hear how Is Love Forever started out.

Before Destruction - after hearing how differently Goodnight Laura started out, I'm wondering if the "demo" recording of Britt singing at the beginning really was the demo for the song.

I'd also be curious see if there were any lyrical differences beween the demo and final versions of Out Go The Lights.

Monkfishblues: I agree with you. "Out Go The Lights" is my favorite track off of Transference. It would be amazing to hear a demo of that! A demo of "Who Makes Your Money" Would be cool to hear too.

Good call on Before Destruction - I want to see if that's actually the legit let's-make-sure-I-don't-forget-that-I-wrote-this demo that got incorporated into the final product.

Who Makes Your Money could be cool just to see what other directions they might have headed in. I think it started as just a standard guitar-chord + singing kind of arrangement, so they had some choices to make.

I remember hearing the earlier live versions of Who Makes Yr Money on YouTube concert footage clips and thinking how awkward it sounded. Hearing the final album version was a pleasant surprise!

Yes! I vote "Out Go the Lights" as well! I imagine it sounding very nice on an acoustic.

And, humorously enough, the demo ends up being even more electric/gnarly-sounding.

Haha yeah, definitely not the acoustic take that i for some reason had in my head. I like it though; I love when they get noisy.

Haha, yeah I remember tabs. I, too, want you to start making them again ha. I have the chords figured out for "Goodnight Laura". But I almost feel silly playing that song on guitar, given how the piano is absolutely exquisite and kind of defines the song. Perhaps I'll post it anyways, just to get the ball rolling or whatever. But yeah, I'm definitely hungry for some more tabs. By all means do not hesitate to post if you have any. I know there never seemed to be too much of a demand, but I will surely always be glad and appreciative!

Are you guys looking for tabs specifically or would you be happy with chords? I know how to play like 75% of Spoon's songs, but I usually just play piano chords so I don't know exact tabs.

Long story short: If you're happy with just chords, I can help you.

Yeah, for sure! I'm the same way: I just like to strum and sing along. Your help is very much welcome!

Alright. I'll start another thread so it's not a tangent here.
