And the official lineup of John, Paul, George and Ringo was formed in 62'.....They are the best band in the world, of any decade. But my other decades 70's - Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Sex Pitols, Ramones, The Clash, ACDC in the 70's with Bon Scott!!! (Best ACDC singer in my opinion) (sorry that's a lot LOVE the 70's) 80's - The Cure, The Smiths and The Cars. 90's - Oasis and Blur. I personally really like Radiohead, all of their stuff (well, except for Pablo Honey...by far my least fave) but I can understand how Kid A threw people for a loop. Thing about Spoon is, they don't really have to rely on any kind of gimmicks, they just make amazing, straight-forward, solid music. Smarmy haha?! While the only Spoon album I saw on various best of decade’s lists was “Kill the Moonlight” every album they released has been solid and consistent. Even non-Spoon fans should recognize and respect them for that. I do like Radiohead, but I don’t think every album of theirs is great. OK Computer is my favorite. “Kid A” which has topped many, including Rolling Stone’s best of decade list, is just not my favorite. It’s good to see Spoon get recognized for their accomplishments.
